The new Samsung T659 was scheduled to be released on Sept 2nd. However there is a delay. Instead it will be launched on Sept 9th.

The Samsung t659 (Scarlet only as a codename) has a sleek, metallic-finish slider form factor in Tech Silver with a variety of advanced features, all at a budget-friendly price.

The large 1.78” x 1.33” 262K TFT display enables users to view their pictures, websites, and games with bright color and crisp clarity.

When the phone is in Idle mode, each edge of the Navigation key acts as a shortcut to a popular feature.

The Samsung t659 supports myFaves®, which enables unlimited nationwide calling to any five U.S. numbers, unlimited nights and weekends, and the opportunity to change those Faves as often as once a month – so users can talk all they want to the people who matter most.

TIPS:

Tip #1: Sub-menu Shortcuts
Many sub-menu lists have numbered items. Users can either use the Navigation keys to highlight the function they want, or simply press the corresponding number to open that screen.

Tip #2: Turning Music on to Multitask
Users can set the music player so it will play in the background, allowing them to Multitask and use other phone features. Choose Menu > Media > Music > Music Player > Settings. Use the Navigation key to select On under Background Playing.

Tip #3: Organizing Messages
Folders can be created to efficiently organize messages on the phone. Select Menu > Messaging > My Folders > Create. Enter the title of the folder and press OK. The newly created folder appears on screen.

Tip #4: Sending a Text Template
Users can choose to send a text template that conveys their message, rather than typing out an actual text. Choose Menu > Messaging > Templates > Text Templates. Highlight the text template to send, and then press the soft Send/OK button. Choose whether the recipient will be selected from Recent Recipients or Phonebook, or if that person is a New Recipient. Highlight the recipient from the selected list or type in the phone number. Press Send.
